First my uncle and I ran the wood through the
planer to make it thinner. Then my dad and uncle
cut out the four wood pieces that make up the tube.
Then I helped my uncle make the two sides thinner
by running them through the planer again. Sound is produced by blowing air into the
tube. You can change the dynamics of the sound by
blowing harder or softer. You can change the pitch
of the sound by covering the hole on the bottom or
uncovering it. My instrument resembles a real saxophone. The
saxophone was created by a French instrument maker
named, Adolphe Sax, in 1840. |
"Wooden Saxophone" by Stephanie I decided to make the wooden saxophone. My Dad and I asked my uncle if he would help us and let us work in his garage. |
