This instrument was made with a plastic jar, rubber bands, a pencil and streamers for decoration. The bands are threaded through the bent jar. The rubber bands are plucked for sound.
The pitch is changed by strumming different bands and stretching the bands. The Trombonatar has little resonance. It gives a slapping sound. The timbre is rigid, muted rubber sound. For changes in volume the bands can be plucked harder or softer.
