I took a glass coke bottle and filled it with buttons. I used cloth on the end of the bottle and put it on with elastics. When I shake the buttons to the bottom of the bottle, the pitch is lower because the area is wider. When I shake the buttons at the top of the bottle, the pitch is higher. If I take some buttons out or put more in, it changes the range of the pitch.
