My name is Lauren and I made a Pedazos de Chatarra, which in Spanish means scrap iron.

My instrument is a brass/percussion family instrument. My materials are two funnels, a copper pipe, a water balloon filler, one shoelace, two plastic bags, dog treats, and Rice Krispies. I had my dad help me bend the pipe and drill holes.

I can't tell if the pitch changes. One problem I had was that the holes we made didn't work, so I used two different mouthpieces.

To play my instrument you blow in it. To change the pitch either change the mouthpiece or your voice tone. My instrument can also be a really long mega-phone.
