The Music Invention Convention!!

 

Irving School is located in Berwyn, Illinois. It is a K-8 building which will soon be converting to K-6. (We are presently building a new middle school for 7th and 8th graders).

Mrs. Christine DiGilio-King and music teacher, Mrs. Lynn Beaudette teamed up with 4th, 5th and 6th grade students to plan a variation of a Music Invention Convention to be presented at our schoolwide Bridge Night on Monday, March 22. Students were assigned the task of inventing musical instruments with materials from home, then were asked to describe the process in a short paragraph, and bring them in for Bridge Night.

The teachers were delighted to see so many creative and beautiful projects that were made with great care. At this time 13 instruments were chosen to be entered into The Virtual Museum of Music Inventions. We are proud to be a part of the Virtual Museum!
