BALLOON MARACAS
by Maria Emilia M.

My Project is about one instrument of the percussion family that is called Balloon Maracas; I named it that way because my maracas were made with balloons.

To make my instrument, I began inflating two balloons; then I spread liquid glue and I pasted towel paper in stripes all over the balloons. I did this many times and I let them dry all night long.

The next day I broke the balloons with a needle and I removed them. Then I put some dry corn inside my maracas and I closed them with a bamboo stick that acted as the arms. My mother helped me to paste them with hot glue.

Finally, I painted my maracas with orange paint, and when I was waiting for them to dry, I investigated the family my instrument belongs to.
