THE JAZZ BOTTLE by Juan Francisco M. The name of my instrument is “The Jazz Bottle” because it produces a sound like a saxophone and it is used to make Jazz music. The family that the Jazz Bottle belongs to is the woodwind family. It is a wind instrument because when you blow in the tube it produces a sound like a saxophone. The materials I used to make it were a bottle, a plastic tube, a plastic burner, scissors, a PVC tube and black tape. I made my instrument by cutting the bottle in two and cutting a little piece out of the bottle. I also cut a piece of plastic and I pasted it in the plastic tube with some black tape. Then my father helped me making holes in the plastic tube with the plastic burner. I took the PVC tube and I connected it with the bottle and attached both parts with the black tape. At the end I decorated it by painting with markers a piece of paper and using it to wrap the bottle and the plastic tube. |
