The Shaker by Neriah

My instrument is called The Shaker. I got my idea for making my instrument from my mom. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. One interesting thing about my instrument is it sounds kind of different when you shake it different ways.

To make my instrument I used the following materials: glitter, paper towel tubes, a shoebox, paper, rice and screws. I found my materials around the house.

I made my instrument by gluing tubes into the box and also by putting rice in between two cans and gluing that down. One person who helped me with my instrument was my mom. She helped me by putting the glitter on there. The biggest problem I had when making my instrument was getting the cans glued down.
