THE NATIVE DRUM

The “Native Drum” is a percussion instrument, like a drum; made from a cardboard container, duct tape, string and wooden sticks.

It is a member of the percussion family because tapping the top of the drum with a wooden stick, or your hand, causes it to vibrate, producing its sound.

Other sounds can be produced on this drum by tapping the sides of this drum or sliding your hand across the top.
