The “Pitch Board” is a percussion instrument, like an xylophone, made from a board, small glasses, water and a metal spoon.

It is a member of the percussion family because striking the glasses with a metal spoon causes them to vibrate, producing its sound.

The glasses are filled with different amounts of water to change their pitch.

A glass with more water produces a low sound when struck and a glass with less water produces a high sound when struck.
