THE TOADSTOOL

The “Toadstool” is a percussion instrument, like a type of steel drum, made from a can, metal jar covers, cloth, buttons, paint, glue and two wooden mallets.

It is a member of the percussion family because tapping the top of the can covers with a wooden stick, or your hand, causes them to vibrate, producing its sound.

The different size covers affect their sound. The larger the cover, the lower the sound and the smaller, the higher.
