The Xpola Drum

4th grader at Meadowview Elementary School

The name of my instrument is "The Xpola Drum." I made the instrument with screws, a screwdriver, a saw, wood, wire, rubber bands, a hole puncher (for the leather drum side), twine to hold the leather on the drum, leather, and birch bark so the sounds of the drum are produced better.

There are four ways sound can be produced. First, you can beat on the drum side. Second, you can hit the birch bark sides. Third, by plucking the rubber bands. And fourth, by hitting or strumming the wire.
