Melody Box

by Joachim L.

I was inspired to make my musical instrument by the sound of an object falling on a metal box. I heard an odd noise which could be compared to the sound of the big old bell of the church of my village.

So I used a big metal box, a meter of string, two nails and two spoons.

I opened four holes on the sides of the box and through those I pulled the strings, to which I tied a knot at one end and the nails and spoons at the other.

The strings with the spoons are longer and hang outside the box and are used as baguettes.

My musical instrument is quite strange but it is my own invention.
