The Sound of Rain by Alexandros B.   I was inspired to make this musical instrument when I was in a store selling Indian products on the beach of Thessaloniki. There I saw a wooden Indian musical instrument that I liked and decided to make one myself. I used a cylinder of cardboard, multiple coloured strings, quite a lot of toothpicks and rice, beans and lentils. I put the toothpicks through the carton around the cylinder, glued one end of the cylinder on another piece of carton and put inside a small amount of rice, beans and lentils. After closing the other end of the cylinder, I put glue all around the outside surface and carefully tied the strings on it. Finally, I painted both ends of the carton. My instrument sounds like the falling rain in the Amazon.
