Copper Chimes

My instrument's name is the Copper Chimes, and it is in the percussion family. I used fishing line, some weights, and some wood. You hit the pipes harder or softer to produce sound.

I used fishing line that I use in the summer when I go fishing, wood, and the weights I use when I go fishing, and plumbing pipes. First drill holes in the wood. Then you put fishing line through the holes in the wood. Put weights on the end of the fishing line. Finally you take the pipes, make a hole in them, tie the fishing line, and hit it with something.

My instrument makes a nice sound. You hit the pipes with something. To change the pitch, hit the bigger or smaller pipes. To change the volume, hit the pipes harder or softer.

I learned that making an instrument takes hard work and dedication. I enjoyed playing the instrument and seeing how it turned out.
