How I made my instrument:

I blew up a balloon and put 3 layers of paper mache' around it. After it dried I popped the balloon and took it out. Then I put black beans into the dried paper mache'. Next, I made one more layer of paper mache' for the handle and placed that into the hole where I put the beans. When everything was totally dried I painted it using a sponge brush. After that dried I varnished it.

 How my instrument makes a sound:

When you shake it the vibration of the beans inside make a sound.
