How I made my instrument:

I cut 2 blocks from wood. I painted the blocks black and when it was dry I painted red dots on it. After everything dried, my dad measured the sandpaper to size and my mom stapled the sandpaper to the wooden blocks.

How my instrument makes a sound:

You rub the sandpaper sides together.
