How I made my instrument: I took a narrow strip of wood and painted it black. Then I got 8 PVC pipes and measure different lengths and marked them (this way each pipe makes a different sound). Next, my Dad cut the pipes with a power saw. And I spray painted them purple. When it all dried I screwed the pipes onto the strip of wood, I placed them short to long (you'll need to use a power drill to do this). To make the stick I put a toy syringe on the bottom end of a pencil. How my instrument makes a sound: My instrument can make a sound 2 ways: by blowing through the pipes or by striking the pipes with the stick. |
