Abstract Drums by Jenny The name of my instrument is Abstract Drums. I got the name from the abstract designs on the drums. I found some old popcorn tins in my house to make my percussion instrument. It makes a metallic sort of sound. To make my drums I used duct tape, 2 old popcorn tins, an old cookie tin, contact paper, paint pens, and chopsticks. I found all the materials at our house, except for the duct tape and contact paper. My Dad helped tape the drums together. Then, my Mom helped me put on the contact paper. It was really hard to use the paint pens, because of the shape of the drums, which is why the designs are a little "abstract". During this project, I learned how hard it is to make a musical instrument, but it was a lot of fun!
