Triangular Guitar This instrument is made out of wood, guitar strings, nails and paint. It is a member of the orchestral string family. The sound is produced when you pluck the strings with your fingers or a guitar pick. When you pluck the thickest strings you get a low sound and the thinner strings a higher pitch. You can also pluck harder and the volume is louder and when you pluck lightly, the volume is softer.
