Delaney’s Boppin’ Bongos

These colorful Bongos are also secretly shakers as each is filled with a different material such as rice and pasta. This instrument is made from painted soda bottle bottoms attached to a plastic base.

Two of the bottles are filled with either rice or pasta and all three bottles are topped with a milk carton drumhead. By tapping on the surface of the bongos each drum makes its own unique sound based on the material that fills it and when you shake it, it sounds like a maraca, too.
