My instrument
is the Bleach Bottle Banjo. The first thing we needed to
make was the neck of the banjo. My Dad cut the wood 30
inches long and 2 inches wide. Next I sanded the neck
with an electrical sander.
I used a bleach
container and I cut the top off. Then I cut a hole in the
middle to put the neck of the banjo in the bleach bottle.
Then I hammered the nail in the neck of the banjo to hold
the strings of the banjo. Then I put three eye screws at
the top of the neck to hold the string into
place.
Then I painted the neck
pink, the bleach bottle blue, the frets purple, and the
bridge and nuts were painted red. Now came the fishing
lines to make the vibrations work of the bleach bottle
banjo.
Sound is produced by
strumming the instrument.
