Preparing the Board

Second, we used a board for the neck of the banjo. Dad used the electric saw to cut it to 2 inches wide and 30 inches long. It was 3/4 of an inch thick. I sanded the board really smooth. At the top of the board, Dad cut 3 inches by 1/4 inch thick off. I had to sand that smooth too. That's where we will put our tuning pegs later.
