I call this
instrument a "Two-Way Maraca." I got the idea from
my sister's Maracas in her room. My Mom and I
looked around the house until I found things to
use. I found a stick that is a root from a tree and
two Easter eggs, beads and buttons.

After I
collected the things and I started to put it
together, I took some wire to tie the Easter eggs
to the stick. Then I put beads into one Easter egg
and buttons in the other. I put tape on the eggs to
hold them shut.

Then I
painted it with blow pens and put leather around
the center for a grip. My Mom helped me tie
it.

The eggs make
different sounds. The green egg has buttons. The
yellow egg has beads. The green egg with buttons
has a high sound. The yellow eggs has small beads.
It has a soft sound.
