Corn Stick

The people who helped make my instrument were my Dad, my Uncle Dan and I. My Dad, my dog Daisy, and I went to the woods. I measured two logs and my Dad cut them. Uncle Dan cut out the inside of the log because that was very dangerous. I screwed in a handle so I could have an easy way to hold my corn stick (corn stick is what I named my rain stick.) I screwed in some screws because if I didn't there would be no sound. Also, to make sound I put in corn. That is why I named my rain stick corn stick. It took me 1 hour and 50 minutes to finish my corn stick. I did not make my corn stick all at one time. The materials I used were a big stick, a drawer handle, corn, and screws.

Sound is made while tipping the corn stick and letting the corn hit the screws as it comes down.

You can change the dynamics of my corn stick by tipping it fast for loud and tipping it slow for soft. The pitch of my corn stick can change by the size of the objects I put inside it. Big objects make a low pitch and small objects make a higher pitch. The word that describes the timber of my corn stick is gravely.
