My dad and I made my instrument. My dad did the dangerous stuff. First my mom got the blue and white felt from JoAnne Fabrics on her way home from work. Then I glued them with some crazy glue on a long tube that used to have wrapping paper on it. That took about three days to dry. When the felt was dry I taped one of the open holes with some of my hockey tape. When the end was taped shut I slowly poured some black beans into the open hole and taped the other end shut. When my dad got home from work I asked him if he could show me how to glue the hockey puck on. So I went down stairs and found some Elmer's glue and watched him glue on the first one then I glued on the second one. That took about 6 days 3 days for each puck to dry. When the pucks were dry I went outside to our shed and found some old hockey sticks. When my dad got up from his nap I measured the sticks so they would fit and my dad sawed them off with his saw. After that I taped them so they wouldn't fall off. Then entire instrument took about 3 weeks. To produce sound you need to grab one of the hockey sticks and shake it or tip it on it's side. To change dynamics on my instrument you need to shake it hard for a loud sound and lightly for a soft sound. Because my instrument is a type of shaker you can't change the pitch. The timbre for my instrument is crunchy and sometimes sounds like rain pouring down.
