Magical Maraca

My instrument was made out of wood. I measured the wood and marked it so that my Dad could cut it. My Dad cut the wood into pieces and then I glued them together with special wood glue. My Dad and I both worked on sanding it to get it smooth. I painted my magical maraca with paint from my Mom and my sister. It took me 4 days to make my instrument. We used a plastic Easter egg filled with BB's to give my maraca its sound.

The magical maraca has a quiet sound that is made when the BB's slide against the plastic Easter egg. This sound is created when you shake the maraca.

The pitch of my maraca is pretty low because of the thick wood on the outside. The wood also makes the dynamic of the maraca very soft. You can change the dynamics of the sound by how hard or fast you shake the magical maraca.
