The Best

My Dad and I made a guitar for Music Class. I drew a diagram and got the wood I wanted. I took the diagram and traced it on the wood and cut it out with a saw. My Dad did that. I used a small paint lid for the circle and cut it out. I then took a sander and sanded it down. After I had the front and back of the guitar, my Dad and I took some wood and drew 4 sides. I then put the bottom part together. I flipped the front part over and nailed the four sides on to the front and then nailed the back on. To do the handle I got some more wood and decided how big to make it. I then got 2 more blocks of wood, then nailed one block of wood to the top of the handle, then nailed one to the bottom part. I had to make sure the block of wood was below the hole.

I then found some strings. I drilled 4 nails half way in, then took my strings and rapped them around the nail. Then I drilled it the rest of the way.

I then painted it.

To make a high pitch sound I strum the thinnest strings. To make a low pitch I can strum the thick ones. My dynamics is loud and to change it I strum softer. My timbre is like a thundering sound. This project took me and my Dad about 2 hours every Sunday!
