Brown Sea Guitar

by Nick J.

The instrument I chose to make is the guitar. The first thing me and my grandpa did was draw different shapes of guitars. When we couldn't think of any more shapes, I picked one and my grandpa cut it out. We waited until my dad came back with the two by twelve's. When he came back from the store, we drew the shape on the two by twelve's and then cut it out with a jigsaw. Then my grandpa told me to draw a bowling pin on the guitar. After that my grandpa cut the bowling pin out with the jigsaw. He grabbed another piece of shaped like a bowling pin and another one and then we glued them. On the next day grandpa sanded and then he let me finish. When I was done, my dad put six holes in black plastic and we bolted it down.

After that grandpa cut a hole in the middle.  After that me and my grandpa taped some rough tape on the neck and my grandpa stained it brown.

The next day, we put the strings on and we were done. It took us six hours. We used wood.

You strum it to make noise. As to the dynamics, strum hard if you want it loud. Strum if soft if you want it soft. For pitch, strum the bronze strings if you want a low pitch. If you want  a high pitch, strum the steel strings. About the timbre, the bronze strings sound like a guitar. The steel strings sound like Australian music.
