Mattea's Maracas

by Mattea

I made my maracas by using welding rods, blue tape, pop bottles, beads, and fun colored scrapbook paper. First my uncle Mike and I went to the pole barn and found the welding rods. I then got four pop bottles. The first thing I did was put the beads in all four pop bottles and taped the lids on. Secondly my mother and I bent the rods and taped them in place. Then I taped the bottles to the rods and to finish I decorated the bottles with the fun colored scrapbook paper beads. My mother and I spent two hours making my maracas.

My maracas make sound by shaking them.

DYNAMICS - - If I shake the maracas hard it makes a loud sound, if I shake them lightly it makes a soft sound.

PITCH - - My maracas have no pitch.

TIMBRE - - The timbre is also called the color of the music and my maracas play a warm timbre.
