The musical instrument I created is the "Thumbelina Thumb Piano." It is a thumb piano. My parents helped me make it.

After my mom and I went on the internet to pick an instrument, I looked around the house for the materials needed.

First I glued two colored craft sticks to a block of wood, and then I put a rubber band around the block of wood and the craft sticks. While the glue was drying I decorated the block of wood with markers to go with the theme I picked out. When I was done the glue was still wet, so I went with my dad to get a Styrofoam cube to raise the height so it would be easier to play.

Next I picked out some gold cloth to cover the Styrofoam cube, I put some pins in the cloth so it would stay in place. Then I glued the block of wood to the Styrofoam cube. After that my dad and I went down stairs and put the Styrofoam cube and the block of wood in the vise so the glue dry and they would stay together.
