The Gourdtar

I named my instrument the Gourdtar. I named it the Gourdtar because it is made out of a gourd and is played like a guitar. I constructed the Gourdtar by taking a dried gourd and cutting a hole into it. After cleaning out the seeds, I took fishing strings and tied them across the hole. The Gourdtar's strings are played like a guitar's strings. Each string makes a different sound because they have different lengths and some are tied tighter than others. My Gourdtar belongs to the string family.
