Christmas Trombone   by Drew M.   My instrument is called the Christmas Trombone. I got this idea from a web site on homemade instruments. My instrument belongs to the brass family. One interesting thing about my instrument is that it is decorated with bright colors.   To make my instrument I used the following materials: postal and wrapping paper tubes, tissue paper, glue, tape, construction paper, and paint. I found my materials in a box in my basement.   I made my instrument by first putting tape on the end of the wrapping tube until it fit inside the postal tube. Then I decorated the tubes with the tissue paper and glue and painted the wrapping tube and let it dry for a day and put the funnel on the end with tape. One person who helped me was my Mom. She helped me get the supplies and helped me think of ideas. The biggest problem I had was letting the paint dry.
