THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY

THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY

by Madison J.

My instrument is called The Little Drummer Boy. I got the idea for making it from my Dad. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. One interesting thing about my instrument is that, in the process of making our music piece, my instrument was in the drum group, the metal group, the claves group, and the scraper group.

You will either have to go shopping for these materials, like I did, or go trash picking. I went shopping at Aco to buy my materials. To make The Little Drummer Boy you will need: a 5 gallon bucket, 2 different size pans, several screws, 2 hand-sized squares of wood, and spray paint (optional).

When assembling The Little Drummer Boy take off both of the handles of your pans. Next, drill them into the little squares of wood and then drill the little squares of wood to your 5 gallon bucket. My Dad helped me with my instrument by using the power tools on it. While applying the spray paint I remembered that I had bought nonstick pans, so remember to check labels if you buy pans.
