RIBBON RAIN STICK by Sally M.   My instrument is called Ribbon Rain Stick. I got the idea for making for making my instrument from my Mom and the Internet. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. One interesting thing about my instrument is I used a wrapping paper tube for the stick and it has rice inside to help make the music.   To make my instrument I used the following materials: a wrapping paper roll, rice, sewing pins, fabric, and ribbons. I found all my materials at my house.   I made my instrument by sticking sewing needles along the spiral of the tube. The I hot-glued fabric one end of the tube and put rice into the tube. I hot-glued fabric on the other end. Then I covered the tube with fabric and tied ribbons around the rain stick. I made the instrument all by myself. The biggest problem I had when making my instrument was putting the needles in the tube without making them stick out the other end.
