"THE SHAKE-A-DRUM"   by Sanjana M.   My instrument is called "SHAKE-A-DRUM." I got the idea for making my instrument from materials found in my house, like rice and boxes. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. One interesting thing about my instrument is that it has multiple functions that include beating like a drum.   To make my instrument I used the following materials: a baby formula container, basmati rice, wrapping paper, tape and ribbon. I found my materials in my kitchen.   I made my instrument by filling a baby formula container with basmati rice and taping the lid on. Then I decorated it with wrapping paper and ribbon. One person who helped me with my instrument was my Mom. My Mom helped me decorate my instrument. The biggest problem I had when making my instrument was keeping the decorations on.
