A GIANT MARACA by Sarah T.   My instrument is called A Giant Maraca. I got the idea for making for making my instrument from my friends. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. An interesting fact about my instrument is that it can be a rain stick or a large maraca!   To make my instrument I used the following materials: empty Pringles cans, uncooked rice and beans, nails, and colored paper.   I made my instrument by putting two cans together with tape, keeping the end of the cans on the outside. Then I hammered in nails because the nails slow down the rice and beans to make the raining effect. Finally, I put in the rice and beans and covered the whole thing with colored paper!
