THE COLORED MARACA by Yousuf A.   My Instrument is called The Colored Maraca. I got the idea for making my instrument from another instrument I saw in Mrs. William's classroom. My instrument belongs to the percussion family. One interesting thing about my instrument is that there is a layer of plastic surrounding the masking tape.   To make my instrument I used the follow materials: a bottle, beans, masking tape, markers and plastic. I found these materials in my home.   I made my instrument by putting the beans in the bottle, putting on the masking tape, coloring it and putting the plastic on it. One person who helped me was my Dad. He helped me by putting beans in the bottle. The biggest problem I had when making my instrument was that the markers bleed through a lot.
