THE BANGING DRUM   By:  Adam Z.   The name of my instrument is the Banging Drum. I got the idea of making my instrument from my mind alone. I used a circular box, cloth, tissue paper, and skinny rope. I got my materials from the store. The tools I used were glue and scissors. First, I mixed water and glue. Then, I coated the outside of the round box with it. After that I ripped up the tissue paper and covered the outside of the box. Then I stapled the cloth to the top of the box. To finish it off, I tied the rope to the top. The banging drum belongs to the percussion family the sound is produced by banging on the top with two sticks. It can make two types of sounds. The sounds are booming. It's very loud! My mom helped me make my instrument by buying the materials I needed. I didn't have any major problems making my instrument.
