THE HANGER CHIMES By: Lacey G. The name of my instrument is the Hanger Chimes. My friend's mom gave me the idea. I used a hanger, bells, nail polish, and string. I found the materials  around the house. No tools were needed. First I painted the bells, than I waited for them to dry, and than tied the string on the hanger. And I painted the bells to decorate my instrument. My instrument belongs in the percussion family. I make the sound by shaking it, and hitting it with a pencil. It can make a lot of different sounds. The sound of my instrument is very light. And you have to listen to hear it. No one helped me with my instrument. The biggest problem was hanging the bells on the hanger because the string was slippery. The other problem was every time I played it, it got tangled.
