Midnight Flame

MIDNIGHT FLAME

By: Richard H.

The name of my instrument is Midnight Flame. I got the idea from the electric guitar in my basement. The materials I used were wood, spray paint, and the insides of some wire. The tools I used were a router, a reciprocating saw, and a power saw.

Step one was to choose the design of the guitar. Step two was to cut it out of the big sheet of wood. Step three was to place the wire and pegs on it. Step four was to use spray paint it[use your favorite two colors!] My dad used a tool called a router to make the edges smooth. We spray painted it black and white.

My instrument belongs to the string family. Strumming the strings produces the sound. It can make a small harp sound, but if you hit it, it makes a louder, hitting the wood sound. It makes a light, vibrating sound. The sound is sort of hard to hear but its better if you hit it.

My dad helped me. He did all of the things I cannot. The greatest problem was finding something to make sound.
