Pink Bongos

PINK BONGOS

By:  Iman W.

The name of my instrument is Pink Bongos. I came up with the idea by myself. I used two small tin cans, one big tin can, and heavy-duty twine. I got the two small cans from my pantry. I got the big can from my basement. Then I got twine from a garage. The  tools I used were a drill, a paint brush, and paint.

First I painted my cans. Then I had holes drilled towards the bottom. Then I connected twine through the holes. I decorated it by painting the cans different shades of pink.

My instrument is in the percussion family. The sound is made by hitting the drum. It makes a low pitch sound. It can make three sounds. My timbre is a deep boom. The volume is very loud.

My dad helped me. He drilled the holes. The only problem was the paint took too long to dry.
