Xylophone

XYLOPHONE

By:  Jojo B.

The name of my instrument is Xylophone.  I got the idea from my dad. I used copper pipe, wood, washers, screws, and pipe cutter. I had them around the house. I needed to use a pipe cutter to cut the pipe.

I cut the pipe with the pipe cutter 2 inches apart starting at 17 inches and descending to 3 inches. I used 7 pipes and then secured a screw in to each pipe and into the wood to form my unique xylophone. Finally, I spray painted the wood section. Then I was finished.

My instrument belongs to the wind and percussion family, and it sounds like a ting noise and it makes it when the pipe stick hits the stationary pipes. It can make 13 different sounds, you can blow in to the pipe, hit every pipe, and bang the pipe sticks together and the sound is very loud.

The people who helped me were me, myself, and I.
